These are a set of pre-defined passwords stored in a table. If available, the change password functionality will check every new password entered against this table, which will include passwords such as the word "password".
The words disallowed will be case-insensitive and will be stored in lower case. The password check will be done on the pre-encrypted password along regular checks for a new password. Whatever password the user enters while changing passwords will be checked against this table. If the word in the table exists anywhere in the entered password, it will be disallowed.
1. Select the Admin tab then select the Disallowed Passwords option from the left-hand side of the page;
